One of two closely similar Ozoroa species in the Waterberg. This one, growing on rocky hillsides, appears to be scarce and localised. Ozoroa sphaerocarpa and Ozoroa paniculosa are closely similar and some references suggest they cannot be reliably distinguished in the field; other references separate them on the basis of their relative hairiness/nonhairiness, the relative contrast of the leaf colour above and below, and on the shape of the fruit.
